The Holidays are here!!! Halloween has come and gone quickly, and we are now preparing for our many exciting holiday events. Congratulations to all of the dancers who performed at the Southern California Fair last month! You all did a wonderful job, and your audience was amazed that you learned those routines in only 4 weeks! We are all very proud of you!
Nutcracker Tickets on SALE NOW!!
Performances will be held on December 12, 13, and 14 at West Valley High School. Tickets are being sold for $15.00 each, general admission. This timeless classic is a wonderful holiday show, and we are sure the whole family will love it! Seating is assigned, and for this reason, tickets are final sale, and cannot be refunded, exchanged for another performance, or replaced. Thank you for your understanding about ticket policies.
Nutcracker Cast Update: Rehearsals are going very well! Thank you to all of the cast members for your hard work and dedication. An updated rehearsal schedule will be available by the second week in November. Please be sure to refer to the new rehearsal schedule once it is distributed.
Cookie Dough Fund-Raiser: Our Cookie Dough Fund-Raiser has begun! You should have received a cookie dough packet the last week in October. If you did not receive one, you can pick one up at the front desk. This fund-raiser is optional, but is available to all students. This is a great way to get people in our community to support the arts, and is also a great way to save some money on dance costumes for this season’s recital! Money earned can be used to help pay for costumes for recital, which will be ordered in January. Please see the cookie dough packet for more details. Best of luck with your sales!
Thanksgiving Break: The Dancers’ Studio will be closed from Thursday, November 27 through Sunday, November 30 for Thanksgiving Break. If you miss a class due to the holiday, according to our studio policies, you are eligible to take a make-up class within 30 days of the missed class. All make-up classes can be taken in any style of dance, but must be at the level of the class you missed or lower. Please see your instructor or the front desk if you have any questions about make-up classes.
Hemet Christmas Parade: The Dancers’ Studio will be participating in the Hemet Christmas Parade on December 6, 2008. We would love to have all our dancers walk with us! We will have a trailer for small children to ride in, while the older dancers and parents walk. All participants will be wearing black pants, a studio Nutcracker t-shirt, and a Santa hat. We will provide Santa hats for all participants. If you would like to participate, please fill out a t-shirt order form and turn it in with your payment by November 15. All Nutcracker Cast members do not need to purchase a shirt, it was included in our cast fee. We ask that parents please support the studio by also wearing a studio Nutcracker t-shirt if you are walking in the parade. We look best when we are all uniform and showing holiday spirit. T-shirts should arrive before Thanksgiving Break. The Parade is a blast to be in, and we hope to have our entire studio there!
Christmas in the Park: Immediately following the Christmas Parade on December 6, our Dancers’ Studio Star Teams will be performing at Gibbel Park. The studio will have a booth at the event where we will have music and games. Please come visit us and see our Star Teams perform! A few of our Nutcracker variations will be performed as well. We hope to see you after the parade in the park!
Winter Demonstrations: We would like to invite all family and friends to attend our Winter Demonstrations! These demonstrations will be held in the studio during the last week of classes in December before we go on Christmas Break. The dates for the demonstrations will be December 15-20, 2008. This is an opportunity for our loved ones to see what the students have been learning in class, and a time to share the joy of the holidays. If you are not comfortable dancing to Christmas music for religious reasons, please inform your instructor ASAP so we can choose a winter song instead. During that class, dancers will warm up and rehearse, and then guests will be invited in for the last 15 minutes of class to watch the performance. We will be serving cookies and punch. We look forward to seeing you at the demonstrations!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Sincerely, Miss Cheri and The Dancers’ Studio Staff
